KWP is a production company specializing in documentary filmmaking. We are writers, podcast hosts, jazz enthusiasts, cinema geeks. We have a hundred new story ideas before we finish our first cup of coffee. Some of us are dangerously infatuated with Werner Herzog.

Continuing our love of long-form interviews and documentary-style filmmaking, KWP launched Bandstand Presents with its Artist Residency Program which integrates guest artists from around the country into the Austin jazz community. The program's five pillars are community building, educational investment, documentary filmmaking, big band performances, and artist showcases.

Since its launch in 2021, Bandstand has had a national presence with work being featured through ABC World News Now, NPR Live Sessions, Playbill, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Broadway World, SXSW Conference and Festival, JAZZIZ, Queerty, Pride.com, and Sirius XM.

COVID Crusades

The COVID Crusades was a fundraising film project providing relief to victims of COVID-19 in ATX. The series began in March of 2020 with a six week trip throughout the western United States, and documented the spectrum of pandemic reality, from loss to metamorphosis. Through video interviews with farmers, doctors, chefs, musicians, and business owners, we were able to create a historical blueprint of our time's pandemic. While the series successfully lasted until the community became vaccinated, the true accomplishment was the relationships made.

The Pro Shop Golf Show

The Pro Shop Golf Show on ESPN ended three years of production as the second highest rated weekend radio show in Dallas-Fort Worth when the company relocated to ATX in 2019. DFW embraced the perspective of lead host Brady Tinker and The Pro Shop as their source for news and entertainment in the world of golf. The Pro Shop included a steady stream of appearances of personalities from The Golf Channel, golfing legends Jack Nicklaus, Ben Crenshaw and Lee Trevino, country music Hall of Fame member Charlie Daniels, and former President of the United States George W. Bush.
